Ilias Tatsiopoulos is a professor emeritus at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Sector of Industrial Management and Operational Research. Since 2005 he has been leading the Interuniversity Postgraduate Program in "Business Administration" Athens MBA. He is a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal "Production Planning and Control". He is also the President of the Institute of Production Management (IDIP-PY) of the Hellenic Society of Business Administration (EEDE) and a member of the Board of EEDE. He has been a member of the body of experts of the European Commission in matters of production systems, Vice President of the Public Procurement Committee, member of the Parliamentary committee for the supply of materials of high economic and technological value and member of the NTUA Senate (1995/96). He has supervised numerous projects in matters of production management, business research, information systems and logistics, such as the impact study of the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games (OGGI), the supervision of the installation of SAP R/3 in the HELLENIC PETROLEUM group and in the SHELMAN industry, the vehicle routing system of EKO-ELDA, the reorganization of the logistics system in the HELLENIC NAVY, the study of warehouses of ILPAP SA and the drafting of specifications of the information systems of ETHEL SA.
